Nu Skin Products Exceeds 550 Million Meals With It’s Nourish The Children Project

Nu Skin Enterprises had every reason to celebrate after announcing that it has achieved another milestone by reaching the 550 million mark in meals purchased and donated through its very own Nourish the Children (NTC) project since it started back in 2002.  VitaMeal, a nutrient-dense food, can be purchased by customers, employees, and leaders of Nu Skin products then donated to NTC which is in partnership with several charitable organizations whose goal is to distribute relief to people suffering from famine and malnutrition around the world.

Executive Chairman of the Board and Executive Director of Nourish the Children, Steven J. Lund had this to say: “Together, the Nu Skin family continues to come together to improve the lives of malnourished children around the world.  Achieving this milestone shows the fundamental compassion of people who when confronted human suffering are willing to act.  We are grateful for the continued generosity of our sales leaders, customers and employees who purchase and donate VitaMeal.”  Vitameal purchases and donations through NTC have helped thousands of children from more than 50 countries as per Nu Skin’s charity partners.

“I sincerely would like to thank Nu Skin products for helping thousands of children in the various communities where Chewa Heritage operates. Most of these children don’t have access to food except for the meal they receive at school, and VitaMeal fills their bodies while providing them with vitamins and nutrients they need,” said Chairman of Chewa Heritage organization in Malawi, George Kanyama Phiri.

About VitaMeal

VitaMeal is a scientifically formulated nutrient-dense food that aims to meet the nutritional needs of malnourished children unlike simple grains with purely caloric benefit. As part of the overall development of VitaMeal, Nu Skin’s nutritional scientists identified the ingredients that were suitable for a malnourished child. The result is a product that provides the essential vitamins and minerals, with a balance of carbohydrates, protein, fat and fiber.

About Nourish the Children

Nu Skin took action to address childhood hunger and malnutrition with the development of the Nourish the Children project back in 2002. The program begins with a highly nutritious food known as VitaMeal, developed by Nu Skin’s nutritional scientists. The company’s sales leaders, customers and employees can purchase VitaMeal and then choose to keep it or donate the food to a third-party non-profit organization that specializes in distributing relief to those suffering from malnutrition and famine.
