Solid leadership is the single most important element to develop if you hope to be successful in network marketing. After all, people are the business of network marketing. In order to grow your team you must learn how to become leader.
Matt Morris shares his experience with leadership as it relates to his network marketing career. Morris mentions that nobody is going to grant you the ability to be a leader. You cannot be knighted into leadership. Consequently, the one thing he wishes he could have done sooner in his network marketing career is stepping up as a leader himself.
Morris shares, “If you want to reach the top rank in your company its not going to happen unless you become a leader FIRST.” Early in his career he modeled the approach: professionals sort, amateurs sell. He was excellent at sorting through prospects, but but he had a low enrollment ratio for attracting other leaders because he didn’t have confidence himself. As a result, Matt first learned how to become a leader by learning from his mentors. Today, he shares that same method with his listeners in the video below:
