dōTERRA Oils Announces Start of Corporate Campus Expansion
950 new jobs expected to open in Utah with construction of new office building, medical clinic, and fulfilment center as well as expansion of manufacturing facility.
Leading sourcing and manufacturing company doTERRA oils announced today that it is breaking ground on the on-going development of its corporate campus. Now on its third phase, development will also include the creation of a new medical clinic and office building, as well as the expansion of its very own manufacturing facility, which combined will house 700 new employees at the Pleasant Grove headquarters in Utah. A new fulfilment center is also underway in Lindon, Utah which is set to house 250 employees.
doTERRA is set to have more than 2,950 employees in Utah and close to 970,000 square feet worth of office, manufacturing, fulfilment and medical space once the third phase is complete by 2019.
Office Building
The new 67,055 square-foot building will, which is expected to be finished by fall of 2018, will provide additional office space that is expected to house around 400 more employees. There are also plans for a childcare center to be erected, that will serve more than 80 students everyday including infants, toddlers, and young children as well. The company is also set to provide childcare scholarships depending on need.
Pleasant Grove Mayor Michael W. Daniels had nothing but praises for doTERRA’s latest milestone. “We applaud doTERRA’s commitment to strengthen Pleasant Grove’s quality of living and create 700 additional jobs. We know that these efforts will contribute to a healthier community and stronger local economy, and will support our vision to make Pleasant Grove a premier city in Utah County,” he said.
Medical Clinic
The new medical facility will initially be offering services to its employees and Wellness Advocates only but will eventually branch out to the entire community. The 39,500 square foot space will be open for expansion should the need arise with the potential of housing two more buildings if needed. It can also accommodate close to a hundred employees and five doctors who specialize on integrative care.
David Sterling, founding executive, chairman and CEO of doTERRA oils explains. “Expanding our campus provides additional opportunities for research and growth so we can continue to lead the way in sourcing, testing, manufacturing and distributing essential oils and other healthy living products for customers around the world. Health and wellness is the core of our business, and we’re pleased to create a clinic where we can validate the medical benefits of oils with modern medicine. We look forward to providing this care to our employees and Wellness Advocates and expanding this service to the broader community in the future.”
Manufacturing Facility Expansion
doTERRA is looking to more than double the size of its manufacturing facility as part of its expansion plans, which will bring its total area from 125,000 square feet to close to 324,000 square feet. Upon its completion on the fall of 2018, the said expansion should then be offering space enough to accommodate 200 more employees. These facility add-ons will be built with the highest OTC and TGA standards in mind. Furthermore, all doTERRA products manufactured and sold all over the world will all go through this facility allowing for more research opportunities and further development.
Mechanical systems and above industry standard lighting will be used in all the buildings as well as materials containing a high percentage of recycled content, all, as much as possible, sourced within Utah. Improvements and further development to existing wetlands area will also be put on top priority throughout the building phase.
Fulfilment Center
The new, soon-to-rise fulfilment center will be erected along the I-15 corridor in Lindon, just near the Pleasant Grove exit. The 270,000 square foot establishment, which can house around 250 employees, will be built on 32 acres worth of land. Once built, this new facility is expected to cater to doTERRA’s worldwide customer base and serve as a hub to provide needed support to all doTERRA oils fulfilment centers across the globe.
This facility will be using advanced automation to complete orders with utmost speed and efficiency. Keeping in line with doTERRA’s values, the center will be designed and built with customer satisfaction, sustainability, and employee welfare in mind.
