DALLAS – Ambit Energy, the world’s largest direct seller of energy and a leading national retail energy provider, today announced the company has expanded its commercial and industrial electricity services in Pennsylvania. Enrollment is now available to an estimated 165,000 businesses in the service areas of eight local utilities throughout the state.
Ambit’s commercial operations have offered services to businesses both large and small since 2006. The company now services more than 44,000 commercial meters in Texas and Illinois, and looks forward to future expansion in new markets.

Business customers in the following service areas are eligible to sign up with Ambit Energy: PPL Electric Utilities, PECO, West Penn Power, Penelec, Met-Ed, Duquesne Light Company, Penn Power and UGI.
Founded in 2006 by Jere Thompson Jr. and Chris Chambless, Ambit provides electricity and natural gas services in deregulated markets in 16 U.S. states, Washington D.C., Japan and Canada, primarily using a direct sales channel of more than 400,000 Independent Consultants.
